Over the course of the summer we have been hard at work adding a number of new features to the mWorkerCIS system which have made significant improvements to overall performance. Our continuing efforts to improve mWorkerCIS are driven by customer feedback, so once again we’d like to thank everyone for all their comments and suggestions – these are what allow us to continue to explore our product’s full potential.
Support for Eircodes
Now that Google Maps supports Eircodes, mWorkerCIS has the facility to include an Eircode when assigning a location to a job. This allows the user to pinpoint the required location much more efficiently. Simply add the required postcode (available at eircode.ie) in the relevant field as displayed in the below screenshot, select country from the drop-down menu and click on the circular arrow and the Latitude and Longitude fields will automatically be filled.
Improvements in calculated fields
The calculated fields tool in mWorkerCIS has also been updated, with a range of new inputs now available. When creating a job, the calculated fields function can now use the meta-data fields that appear at the top of a job, such as description, help-text, post code, prefix and others, enabling the user to incorporate a much greater degree of detail.
Auto-refresh of dashboards and tables
This new functionality allows the user to keep track of changes in ongoing jobs throughout the day, without having to manually refresh the dashboard or job screen. The time limit for auto-refresh of both dashboards and grids is configurable by our support staff and can be adjusted according to the clients’ requirements.
Improved date and time selector
Improvements have also been made to the performance of the date and time selector on mWorkerCIS, helping to speed up the process of job entry and filtering. Users can now easily select the due date, date created, and date submitted by clicking on the calendar icon in the Jobs page (see screenshot below).
Creating jobs in “not deployed” mode and then deploying them
Previously, a user would have to assign and give a due date to all newly created jobs, but with our newly-implemented functionality you can now create a job and deploy it to the system without assigning it to any particular user. This is a useful feature as it allows the user to plan future work without immediately having to assign jobs to particular individuals. New jobs can now be created with a”Not Dispatched” status and will not be available to the user until the set dispatch date. The dispatch date can also be left blank and then later added. Additionally, on the jobs page there is now also a dispatch job button which can be used to deploy numerous jobs at once. Simply click on the relevant check-boxes and then click on the Dispatch Jobs button to deploy the selected jobs (see screenshot below).
